Track Workouts at the Jackson Park Track
Saturday Mornings

A small group of sprinters work out at the Jackson Park track on Saturday mornings at 8:00am.

The focus is on training for the 100, 200 & 400 meter events. The group is composed of both members and non-members.  Feel free to join us anytime.

The Jackson Park track is located east of Stony Island just south of 60th. It is an 8 lane track with markings for these distances:

100m  110m  200m  300m  400m  800m  1500m  1600m  3000m  5000m

There are jump pits for the long and triple jump and the jump boards are now in place and the pits do have enough sand for jumping.

There is a restroom just southeast of the track that is open from spring to late fall. There are two working water fountains near the track.

There is a children's' playground area just south of the track.

In the fall, the football field is used for high school freshman and sophomore football games. And the University of Chicago Cross Country team will occasionally run long intervals on the track. These other activities do not interfere with the Club workouts.
